There is a movement forming to rescue a group of mistreated lions from Sudan that has recently spread all over the world.

The photos of these malnourished lions at Khartoum’s Al-Qureshi Park were shared by activist Osman Salih on Facebook. Since that post the photos have gone viral through the hashtag #sudananimalrescue. It was confirmed that on of the lions died on Monday but the other two lions are OK. The park claims that the lack of proper care for the lions is due to the current economic crisis in Sudan saying that the lions have gone several weeks without correct food or medication. Sahil has suggested to several activists to bring food directly to the lions instead of making donations to the Park.
