The Supreme Court declined to hear Adnan Syed’s case this past Monday, leaving the conviction made 20 years ago standing.

Syed petitioned for a new trial saying that his old lawyer neglected to review a vital alibi witness. Syed is still serving a life sentence for the murder of Hae Min Lee, a high school classmate and ex girlfriend.
