This morning, five people were injured and two were critically hurt at a shooting in Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California. The shooting was reported just before 8 a.m. and Saugus was placed on lockdown as well as the neighboring elementary schools in the district. Approximately 2,300 students were transported from the school campus to school buses with armed deputies. The shooter is said to be dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound about an hour and a half after the shooting. President Donald Trump is currently monitoring the events that have taken place and more news on the situation will be released by the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s office.
