Last night, girls from the junior and senior classes went head to head in the JCHS annual powderpuff football game. 22 girls from each class participated joined by three boys from each class as their coaches.
Despite the effort from the juniors, the senior class came out on top not only defeating the juniors but shutting them out by a whopping score of 22-0. “[After some long practices] we came in to the game feeling like we were prepared but we were all just focused on having fun with each other.” junior Madi Fusaro said. “My favorite part was just joking around with all the girls and pretending we were amazing at football, at the end of the game the coaches asked if we had fun and everyone said they did.”
Aside from the great performance by both teams, some would say the real show was during halftime when both classes sent out six male cheerleaders where they performed hysterical routines, both ending in some crazy flips.
The 2020 senior class has won both this year and last year making them the only class to remain undefeated in the history of powderpuff at John Champe High School.
