The 2019-2020 John Champe schedule has changed this year to make time for high school students to participate in important Knight time lessons and have break times during their school day to recharge.
The new schedule for this school year includes an advisory and a fifteen minute snack break. During advisory students learn lessons about how to be a good member of the Champe community. They are also introduced to clubs and organizations that are held at Champe. Recharge time is a break time that happens after your first and fifth blocks on A and B days. It allows students to “recharge” and have free time to talk with their friends before getting on with the rest of their busy days.
“I do not feel that an advisory is necessary because it takes away time from class,” junior Anna Contreras said, “but once I get used to the new schedule I will begin to warm up to having some extra free time to talk to my friends, and learn new things about Champe that I did not know before.”
