United States Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, revealed her budget cuts at the Department of Education on Monday to much controversy. DeVos cut the entirety of the budget for the Special Olympics in over 18 million dollars of budget cuts.

“We had to make a lod of tough decisions,” DeVos said in defense of her plan.

There has been much controversy regarding the plan as, in addition to cutting the Special Olympics budget, DeVos increased the budget of charter schools despite public schools being preferred in the USA.

“I don’t think it’s fair of her to cut the funding, especially if it goes towards something else,” said an anonymous student at CHampe.
