The 61st annual Grammys took place last night. Many events took place that made it both the best and worst of shows.

For starters, Drake gave his acceptance speech after receiving an award for “Gods Plan.” His speech was about racism in the music industry, but then cut short by commercial ads. Alicia Keys performed, bringing Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Michelle Obama and Jennifer Lopez on stage with her. The most controversial topic of the night, however, was Childish Gambino winning song and record of the year, only to not show up to the Grammys. Hip-hop and rap has always been an issue for the Grammys because of boycotting, so artists such as Kendrick and Drake refused to perform, and some didn’t even show up.
