On Tuesday night, President Trump delivered the State of the Union address, which was surprisingly bipartisan. His speech included statements of both parties coming together to create lasting peace, yet stated his views on how that “peace” is to be accomplished. It required major change on the Democratic side, including an end to the partisan investigations. Trump also stated that unless Congress comes to a compromise by February 15th, he will be issuing a national emergency on the southern border.
“It was Trump making the case that the country is under a grave threat from illegal immigration,” CNN said “If Congress won’t act, he will.”
