Yesterday, Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show unearthed a video of a speech from 2004 in which President Trump made statements contrary to his current position of building a wall along the border of Mexico. The video was tweeted out by The Daily Show with the caption, “Oh man, once Trump gets his wall, he better hope no one shows Mexico this old video we found.”

As for the video itself, it features Trump from 15 years ago, encouraging students and audience members to break down concrete walls and face obstacles head on. The video has caused much controversy, particularly in regard to Trump’s strict immigration policies and the ongoing government shutdown.

“Trump can’t just make claims like that,” sophomore Shreya Vootkoor said. “I guess it just proves once and for all that he’s a hypocrite in every sense.”
