Earlier this week, students of John Champe were notified of their acceptances from a popular university by the name of Virginia Tech. VT is notorious for it’s computer engineering program, as it is ranked one of the best school’s in the country for division one sports and the liberal arts. According to CollegeSimply, Virginia Tech has a 71% acceptance rate. Within the senior class, very few were admitted into the school as the rest were deferred from early decision. One student, Selma Alkebsi, was accepted into Virginia Tech last weekend and has already found her roommate.
“I am rooming with my friend Sydney from Freedom High School,” Alkebsi said. “It’s really nice to know who your roommate is ahead of time, especially for me, because I am a very organized person.”
