Certain brands of dog food have been recalled because of a potentially toxic level of vitamin D. According to CBS News, the affected brands include: Nutrisca, Natural Life Pet Products, Sunshine Mills Inc., ANF, Inc., Lidl (Orlando brand), Kroger, ELM Pet Foods, Inc. and Ahold Delhaize. Owners are advised to stop using these brands immediately as toxic levels of vitamin D can cause kidney failure and death.
