On Friday, a magnitude 7 earthquake shook Anchorage, Alaska, and since then there have been more than 1,000 aftershocks. A majority of the aftershocks were a magnitude 2.5 or weaker, but about 350 of the aftershocks were higher than a magnitude 2.5. No deaths or injuries were reported, however the earthquake did shut off power and rip through buildings and roads. This was the second largest earthquake the area had seen since 1964.
