This past Tuesday was a momentous day in election history! Democrats, after 23 years, have regained control of the House of Representatives. They secured 218 seats to gain majority. Many say that this interrupts Trump’s plan for Congress. Although the house’s majority party changed, the majority of Senate still remains Republican, which Republican’s are still looking at as an edge for them. Even so, democrats are ready for a change.
“Today is more than about Democrats and Republicans,” Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said according to CNN. “It’s about restoring the Constitution’s checks and balances to the Trump administration.”
