Tuesday night was a huge win for our girls varsity field hockey team. They experienced their first mercy of the season leading with 6-0 against Tuscarora High School. The team as a whole are ready to continue the streak for the season.
“Yesterday was a ‘finally’ moment for me because our team has been working so hard for so long and our record hasn’t really been reflective of our skill and hard work,” senior and captain Tara Sears said. “Usually it’s us getting mercy ruled, not the other way around so it was a huge surprise. At the start of the year, as a team, we made it our goal to win half of the games we play. As of now we’re still on track to achieve our goal.”
