Less than a week ago, rap legend Mac Miller passed away from an alleged overdose. Many fans have been mourning his death over social media. Miller was only 26 years old when he passed away last week. According to friends, family, and even himself, Miller has always had drug related issues.

Many people are upset because in a line in “Brand Name”, one of his songs, he claims he does not want to join the 27 club due to drugs. The 27 club is a group of artists that have died at 27 due to drug related deaths. The unfortunate part is Miller was just a few months shy of 27.

Over the last week,  Mac Miller’s latest album, Swimming, has bumped up the charts. On iTunes, it is currently at number five. Many other artists have posted tributes to Miller, and are suffering with grief. Miller’s ex girlfriend, Ariana Grande, has been distraught according to sources, as she used to help with his sobriety.

“It was so sudden, but expected because his addiction was getting worse,” said Senior Sophie Diagne.
