Over the years, Google has added different free features to its name. For example, docs, slides, drive, and classroom. This is not new news, but this year at Champe almost every teacher is taking advantage of these features. Google Classroom allows teachers to post assignments, communicate with students, and receive work to grade. Chromebooks were assigned to every student at Champe so that everyone can have the opportunity to use technology in school and at home. This has encouraged teachers to create their own online classrooms through Google. This reduces the use of paper and is an easy way to keep everything organized. Many of the teachers have incorporated the use of technology in their classrooms and provide charging stations for the chromebooks. Students have mixed feelings over the use of Google Classroom, but it seems like it is here to stay.
“I feel like google classroom is confusing,” said senior Sydney Banks. “I hate doing everything online because it can easily be lost.”
