Amazon has reached a new milestone: it is now the second American company to reach a value worth over one trillion dollars. On Tuesday, Amazon’s share rose by $2,050.50 which caused it to go over the trillion dollar mark. At the end of the day, it decreased, leaving it just under the mark. Apple crossed the trillion dollar line last month and now Amazon is following in its footsteps.  According to The New York Times, Amazon employs about 550,000 people and produces $178 billion in revenue annually. Amazon offers a lot of services, such as Kindle and ebooks, Amazon Prime (which includes their own music and video services), and Amazon Alexa. With all the services they offer, it’s no wonder they have hit a trillion dollar level.
