John Champe’s Field Hockey team took on the Woodgrove Wolverines yesterday, Thursday August 30th, and fought to the bitter end. With an end score of 2-1, Kaylie Halsey, a sophomore, scored the teams first goal of the season with less than a minute left. John Champe Field Hockey has come a long way since their first season in 2016.

“It felt great to score the first goal of the season for champe just because our team had really supported each other throughout the whole game, and to finish it off with a goal was exhilarating for everyone,” Says Junior, Kaylie Halsey. “It’s also given our team confidence for the rest of the season to come!”
