Champe’s Newest Librarian

With the new school year came many changes. For one, we got a new principal: Mr. Tyson. Additionally, with the Willard kids gone, we can finally breathe in the hallways. However, one change that some may not know about was a change in the librarians. This year, we bid farewell to the beloved Mrs. Jespersen as she went into retirement. To replace her, the Champe community gained the spirited Ms. Cote.

Before being a librarian, Ms. Cote was actually a teacher. In fact, anyone who was a part of the Mercer annex might recognize her as their old English teacher. Ms. Cote got her bachelor’s degree at the University of Arizona and is now working on her master’s at Longwood University. In her freetime, Ms. Cote enjoys reading and speed-walking. She has two cats named Penny and Sammy and has excellent taste in books.

“I’m really excited to be in the Champe library and watch all of my students graduate,” says Cote.
