Jeanette tellls that her dad often does “the skedaddle” because he keeps thinking that the FBI is after the family. Mom keeps saying it’s actually the bill collectors that are after the family. Some of the times, the family rather stay with their mother’s mom. Whenever mom gets into a fight with dad, they leave.
I feel like the dad has really ruined their lives. He’s on the run, and he’s constantly dragging his family down with him. The constant moving and poverty makes the whole family suffer. If the dad weren’t “skedaddling” from the “FBI” they could probably live a stable life, and not have to move anymore.
I aggree, yes the dad really is ruining their lives. He is causing more trouble than needed. With all the moving around, he is making the family suffer so much.
