Over winter break, my cousins and I took a day trip to my beach in North Carolina. We always spend Christmas at my grandmas house and she lives two hours away from the beach. So we decided to go to the beach and make a day out of it. We always like to go to our favorite spot there called “the Point”. We grabbed our favorite coffee’s at 4j’s before heading to the beach. The view was so amazing and extra pretty because we had the beach all to ourselves. The sand was so white and cold on our feet when we were taking pictures. The lighting was just perfect, we were at the right place, at the right time. Since, we were only going to be there for a day we wanted to make the most out of it. So we went to the other side of the island named Beaufort. This is a little town where most residents live right on the water and own boats. We decided to go shopping there and spend the rest of the trip in Beaufort! Unfortunately the day came to an end and we left the island but we had many great pictures to remember and to look back on.
Toronto Canada
Last summer I went to Toronto Canada for a girls trip and everything was so beautiful. When I first got to Canada we experienced the country part of Canada. The other half of the trip I stayed in Toronto and experienced the city life. I brought my gopro to take videos and pictures because I liked the look of the fish eye effect. I definitely prefer the city way more than the country but both places of Canada were equally as beautiful! Most pictures That I took were scenery centered because it was much needed. I had so much fun in Canada and I hope to go back soon.
Arlington Garden Shoot
My second home is in Arlington, so I spend a lot of time there. It was such a pretty day outside so we decided to have a mini photoshoot in the gardens. I took these garden pictures of my cousin Katie and one of her friends, Anna. The lighting was difficult at first but when you got the right angle they were perfect and turned out so well! I had Katie and Anna wear the color black for the shoot because I thought it would really complement the green from the trees.I also tried to incorporate other objects in the backgrounds to give some contrast and make it stand out more.
Beach trip with my besties
This past summer I went to the beach with all of my best friends in delaware. We all had so much fun over the course of a week. We were on the beach everyday laughing and making great memories and even went mini golfing. Everynight we would go to the boardwalk and shop around and eat lots of food. One morning my friends and I decided to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to have a small photoshoot on the beach at sunrise. The sunrise was so beautiful in the background of all the pictures. I remember being super tired that morning but the pictures were so worth it in the end. overall, I had a great time during the trip and had a ton of pictures left over from it.
My Happy Place
Emerald Isle, North Carolina is known as my happy place. I call this my happy place because I Feel like i’m at my happiest and am my best self when Im here. I have been going to this beach since I could remember so I have many great memories here. My grandma owns a beach house, oceanfront so I enjoy going there for the holidays. My favorite time of the year to go to go is for the fourth of July with all my cousins and family. These pictures were taken at “The Point” which is my favorite place in Emerald Isle. The Point is the prettiest during sunset and has the best lighting to take the perfect picture!
Italia
Over the summer, I went to Northern Italy for two weeks and got to travel all over to little cities and unique towns. The scenery in Europe is beyond different compared to the united states. Taking pictures was so exciting and just a new experience for me. Italy is known for their pizza and food in general so most of my photos were food related or scenery. Each part of Italy you would visit had a unique and diverse feel to it. It’s impossible to go there and explore everything because there’s just so much to see in such little amounts of time. Everything was just so natural and pure and that’s what made it so beyond beautiful.
The Importance Of A Life Through A Lense
Status
A life through a lense is a blog about the gift of photography, Pictures can be worth a thousand words because each individual photograph can tell such a personal story. I love capturing the exact moments and the powerful emotions of a picture, its so real and raw. I notice the small details that many people are totally unaware of. Noticing the emotion on a face of a person, their exact reaction or expression in that time and moment is so special to have. Life is like a timeline, our lives filled with faces and places that we’ve experienced. Having snapshots of the uplifting and positive points and times in our life is what keeps those memories vivid in our minds throughout life. Our brains are so good at focusing on the visual parts of people’s lives. Which is why images are the best form of communication in today’s society.
