Cedar Street, Emerald Isle NC

Cedar street is a hidden place in emerald isle that we went to, for a picnic. We laid a blanket down on the grass in front of the water and ate pizza. Since we were on the calm side it was very peaceful when we were there. Our view was so pretty and very sunny! We decided to take pictures while having the picnic but the sun was very harsh so I could barely open my eyes. This was by far the hottest day of our trip so we had to wear bathing suits. My sister took the pictures of our picnic. We had to get multiple angles and adjust the features of the camera because of the lighting. Even though it was challenging getting a good angle and spot to take them, it was worth it for the beautiful view! This was the last place we went to over spring break and we saved the best for last.

Spring Break-The Point, NC

over spring break, while my family and I were at the beach in North Carolina, we visited The Point. This is by far the most Prettiest and most popular place to hang around during sunset! My sister and my cousin and I all decided to drive our truck up onto the sand in order to get the best pictures and have the best views. We all sat in the trunk and watched the sunset and also took some pictures while sitting on top of the truck. It was such a good idea to drive up on the beach for this night. The pictures were difficult at times, from the bright sunlight in our eyes but the gorgeous sunset made it worth it. My cousin and I both wore band tees, mine was the Beatles and Katie (my cousin) was a sublime tee. We tried to get the sunset in the background to incorporate the beauty we saw. I had such a fun time and it was really relaxing so I’m glad we decided to go!

Fort Macon State Park

Over spring break, I went to North Carolina, Emerald Isle my favorite place ever! My cousins and I decided to take pictures at fort Macon near Atlantic beach. We wanted to go there because their sand dunes were supposed to beĀ  really pretty. We went on a sunny day so the lighting turned out to be a little harsh. We wanted to incorporate the sand dunes to get some green in the background. It was super easy to take a lot of pictures there, everyone was super nice and welcoming. Taking pictures at the beach is always a challenge, due to the wind always messing up the hair. Other than that, they all turned out great and they had amazing views for each one!

Downtown Leesburg Photoshoot

Recently I went to downtown Leesburg with my best friends for a photoshoot. I’ve been to Leesburg plenty of times before, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a photoshoot there! It was perfect picture taking weather, very over cast and wasn’t to hot or cold. The scenery is rustic and old town looking with all the colorful homes and buildings everywhere. Each house was unique looking and had its own signature feel and look to it. We walked around all over, in order to get the best lighting. We went in between buildings, in front of houses, and on roofs! We used the camera to take the pictures in order to emphasize the background more. I’m so happy with how all of them turned out and can’t wait to go back!

Softball Managing Flicks

This is my second year managing girls softball for Dominion High School. It is a really cool experience and is a really fun thing to be apart of! My friend Meagan and I manage the team together for this year’s season. We have learned so much already about softball itself and what the impact has made on all the players. These pictures were taken at Potomac Falls High school in Sterling VA. Meagan and I both take yearbook, so we thought it would be different to take some artsy pictures in the dugout. There was a lot of shade in the dugout so they turned out really well. The light landed perfectly on my face from all the different angles. We do plenty of hard work regarding the team, so we decided to have a little bit of fun and make the most out of it!

Georgetown Weekend

This weekend My cousin and I took a day trip to Georgetown since she lives so close to it! We walked across the Key bridge to get there. It was the most perfect day and the weather was really nice. When we got there, we were both wanted to go to Dean and Deluca our favorite coffee place. We each got an iced Chai tea latte there and they were so good! After we went shopping on M street, and went to all the shops and stores. Before we left, we also wanted to get some pictures while we were there. The lighting was perfect and we found some cool spots to take them. The sky looked so blue and clear which made the pictures look even better. I such a fun time and can’t wait to go back again soon!

Old Town Leesburg Vintage Shop

Over the weekend my family and I went to Old Town Lees-burg to go to a vintage thrift store. There were so much to to see so I was kind of overwhelmed. I go thrift shopping all the time so this was no different to me, except that I had never gone to a vintage thrift store. I was excited to look around and hopefully find something that I liked. Ranging from vintage plates to magazines to old records to furniture to clothing they had everything. Each room was unique in its own way and had anything you could imagine. One of the pictures I took was a whole room dedicated to “Life” magazines. I never realized how interesting they were until now, and couldn’t believe how many people collected them! I am also into records and I collect them, so i bought a couple old vintage albums that they offered. I found a ton of retro posters as well and bought a “Linda Ronstadt” poster. The colors really drew me in with the cool and warm tones, It was super cool looking with the style, very 60’s inspired. All my purchases were very successful and I would definitely go back in the future!

I Miss Italy!

I miss Italy so much and desperately want to go back! I miss the beautiful sunsets, the delicious food, the golden lighting, and the fun activities. I made sure to take pictures of every city or place that I stayed at. I also took a boat tour while I was in Venice to take pictures on the water. I got multiple different angles so you could see the beautiful scenes from all around. Italy is such a beauty and would live there if I could!

Mac Demarco Concert

A while ago I went to the Mac Demarco concert with some of my friends and it was so much fun! I love his music because it is very calming and relaxing. The concert was at the Anthem in Washington D.C and it was so crowded and packed that night. When I first walked in, there were so many vibrat lights all over the place. There was Purple, blue, and yellow lights hanging all over the crowd. I had such a good spot right in the front to where I could see him. My friends and I couldn’t really take a lot of pictures because there were so many people around us. The pictures we did get, they were of Mac Demarco on stage, and it showed all the color contrast!

The Future is Female!

Over the four day weekend, my sister and I decided to go to the women’s march in Washington D.C. It was held on Saturday the nineteenth. My cousin Katie and her friend Anna came with us to. We marched for almost four hours and I was amazed by how many women were there! I have never felt so empowered and motivated before. Almost every street in D.C was filled with women and all sorts of craziness. Although, the weather outside was not that nice we took some really good pictures. I tried to incorporate the actual march in the pictures, so you could see how crazy and exciting it all looked. The pink resembled the color that was going to represent the march for 2019. It was such a beautiful thing to see, girls supporting girls and I’m grateful that I got the opportunity to go!
