Hey Everyone! This is my 100 word challenge post for this week. We had to incorporate the words balloon, never, frightening, brown, and kicked. I hope that you like it.

Walking home from school, I stepped in a big, brown, muddy puddle. I was so mad because I was wearing new shoes, and I had told my mom that I would never get them dirty. I ran home as fast as I could and kicked open the door to the bathroom, hoping I could get them clean. I came out of the bathroom, and my family screamed, “Happy Birthday”. It was frightening how loud they were. My brother handed me a balloon while we laughed about how I didnt even notice them because I was so worried about my shoes.

Thank you so much for reading this! Fun fact this is actually based on  a true story where we threw a surprise birthday party for my mom (pre-covid), and there were at least 30 people that she ran past without noticing because she had to go to the bathroom.
