The village of Slane located in County Meath, Ireland is only 30 minutes north of Ireland’s capital, Dublin. Slane is one of Ireland’s most picturesque places in Ireland. While in Slane, you can visit The Hill of Slane, which is assoicated with Ireland’s patron St. Patrick. Another big attraction is Slane Castle, which is home to the Conyngham family, which is a 1,500 acre estate and is highly known for the outdoor venue for rock concerts. The castle held concerts for the Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Bowie, Queen, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and U2. There is also a new distillery right next to the Castle for the Slane Whisky.
