NBA Lottery Draft Tonight!

Tonight is a very big night for all of the NBA teams that did not do good in the regular season because tonight they can get their start player from college. The 76ers have the 10th pick in the lottery draft. I think the best we could get is either Trey Young, Collin Sexton, or Mikal Bridges. Trey Young was the PG for Oklahoma last year where he is being compared to Steph Curry. Collin Sexton was the PG for Alabama last year where his shot making ability and playmaking abilities helped him succeed in college. Whereas Mikal Bridges was the SF for Villanova who won the NCAA Championship last year. Mikal Bridges can shoot, pass, and play defense. He is 6’7 and could be the best fit for the 76ers. Sports Update!

So with the 76ers and the Eagles both in their offseason right now, I can not really talk about them except that the Eagles just signed 15 Undrafted Free Agents with Josh Adams, RB out of Notre Dame, seeming to be the best one. Also, the Flyers are in their offseason too as they lost in the first round of the playoffs. All I have left is the Phillies. The Phillies started off great this year going 17-10, but then they lost their next 5. The last 5 games were close which we were able to pull it out and get the win, so now we are 22-15. We are sitting in 2nd place in the NL East 1 game behind the Atlanta Braves and 1 game ahead of the Washington Nationals. The Phillies’ Center Fielder, Odubel Herrera, has been leading the Phillies to their best start in forever. He has been a great acquisition because he has brought life and energy to the whole team. I can’t wait to see how the Phillies do this season and if they can keep winning.Image result for phillies

Sixers Going the Wrong Way

Hello fans, the NBA playoffs are in full send and all the teams are pulling out the big guys. The Celtics have came out strong against the 76ers in the second round of the playoffs. The Sixers are down 3-0 in the series with game 4 tonight. I am very scared and nervous because no team has ever come back to a series when down 3-0 in a best of 7 series. The odds are not looking well for us, but I still do believe that if we catch fire we can easily beat the Celtics. We will have to win the next 4 games, but I do believe it is possible with this team. In game 3, we forced over time with a buzzer beater by Marco Belinelli with 1.7 seconds left. With 1 minute left in OT we were up 6 and I was feeling good about how we were going to win. However, we turned the ball over our last two possessions which caused us the game. I completely put the blame on Brett Brown, the coach of the Sixers, because he did not call good plays out of our timeouts. The team will have to dig deep to win this series, but I truly believe we still have a chance. Hats off to the Celtics who have played very well in the first three games because they have been lights out, whereas the Sixers have been very cold. I am bummed, but at the same time I still have hope. We have to win tonight so we will not be swept because that would be very embarrassing. I love my boys a lot and I can not see them lose to a team they should be killing.Image result for Sixers celtics

Sixers Move On!!!

The 76ers have moved on to round 2 of the playoffs. They beat the Heat and it only took them 5 games to do it. Embiid came back in game 3 and then we won the rest of the game against the Heat. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time as a Sixers fan. We will be playing the winner of the Bucks vs the Celtics series which is is right now 3-2 in favor of the Celtics. Meek Mill was released from prison just yesterday in the afternoon, and the 76ers co-owner went to go pick him up with Kevin Hart, and they drove him straight to the game. Every home game the Sixers have, they have someone ring the bell before the game to hype up the crowd. As you can see where I am going with this, obviously Meek Mill did it for game 5. Kevin Hart and Meek watched the game from courtside seats which had to have been awesome for Meek because he loves all the Philly teams. It was an exciting night for Meek, all the Sixers fans, but it was extra exciting and special for me!Image result for sixers game 5 vs heat

NFL Free Agency Going Off…

For those who do not know that Free agency is going on…it is. And it has been very fun for a lot of team. I will address my team first. The Eagles got Michael Bennett from Seattle for a wide receiver that I never even knew we had, and a 5th round draft pick in 2019. I like this a lot because the Eagles already had a great defensive line, but now we just made us a lot better. In other places, Danny Amendola went to the Dolphins, which will be great for Jay Cutler to rely on his new number one receiver. The Packers releases Jordy Nelson and Aaron Rodgers was very upset but understanding. Jordy is expected to sign with the Raiders. All of Minnesota’s QBs went elsewhere as they now only have Kirk Cousins as their only QB on their roster. The Eagles are going to have to do a little more and get one more CB, OL, and a linebacker. This free agency has been very hype, and hopefully it continues!Image result for free agency

Sixers Mini-Streak

Hey again, the 76ers have won 9 of their last 12 games now. They won 7 straight, and then won 2 of their last 5 so it is going pretty well right now. We are sitting at 6th place in the Eastern Conference with the Bucks and the Heat coming for us both just one game back. We are 2 games out of 3rd so it is a very tight race in the East to get home court advantage throughout the playoffs. The playoffs are only one month away! The 76ers might actually make the playoffs this year which will be so exciting. The Eagles just made another nice move. We got 2x Pro Bowler Michael Bennett from Seattle. We are also looking to get another cornerback because that is where we were really weak last year. Our rookie that we drafted last year in the 2nd round didn’t play one game last year but will be returning shortly. The Eagles are looking like they can win back to back Super Bowls. Undefeated Philly!

There is an exciting and interesting fact about Philly teams. After the Eagles won the Super Bowl, all of the other Philly teams have been undefeated. The Flyers are 4-0 and the 76ers are 5-0 after the Eagles won. I find that really cool. Also, the NBA just hit the All-Star break and the 76ers have Joel Embiid starting and Ben simmons as a reserve for the game. This is the first time that the 76ers have had an All-Star, let alone two. I obviously want to wish them good luck in the game and I hope they have fun because a lot of people will be watching. I can’t wait to see what moves the Eagles will make this offseason, but that won’t happen for a while. So let’s keep the streak going Philly Sports! The Eagles defeated the Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII. Despite Tom Brady’s 505 yards through the air, the Eagles prevailed over them to get the win. Nick Foles threw for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns in the game, and one of those touchdowns came late in the fourth quarter on a controversial catch to Zach Ertz. It was a lot like the play with Jesse James on the Steelers, but this time it went the Eagles way. The team and fans went crazy just as I did as soon as that ball on the hail mary at the end of the game hit the ground and the clock read 0 seconds. The parade was today at 11:00, and I heard that it was a great time with a lot of fans who showed up. I’m so happy that we finally won the Super Bowl as it was our fast. NFC Championship

Hey again, with the Eagles beating the Falcons 15-10, they advance to the NFC Championship being played in Philadelphia on Sunday at 6:40 p.m. Let’s skip all the little talk and say that the Eagles are going to the Superbowl. Just kidding, we are really close to that game though. We play the Vikings after they beat the Saints on a last second play. It’s going to be a great game and hopefully the Eagles come out on top. I have a lot of confidence that Nick Foles will get the job done. I can’t wait for the game, and I also can’t wait for the Jaguars playing the Patriots game.

Playoffs

So with the Eagles clinching the #1 spot in the NFC a week ago, it didn’t really matter what we did in our last game of the season. We ended up going 13-3. The last time the Eagles got the #1 spot in the NFC, we went to the Superbowl, and that was back in 2004. The Eagles are set up to play the Falcons next week on Saturday at 4:30 p.m in Philadelphia. In another sport, the 76ers have won 5 of their last 6 games to spark a little win streak. They have been playing together as a whole team very well the last couple weeks and it shows. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have both been voted in the recent polls into the All-Star game. Can’t wait for the Eagles game to see us win!
