Dominion (The Awesome Card Game)

So, here is the very very very short story of how I learned about Dominion. My grandmother got it for me for Christmas, and I haven’t played it yet. But I am at 6:00 because I can tell the future. I also know that I am going to think I will win, but I will come in last place. You are probably thinking that Dominion is a video game, but it is actually a really fun card game about collecting stuff (kingdom cards, treasure cards, and victory cards). You start out with 3 victory cards and 7 copper cards, 5 in your deck and 5 in your hand (the order is random). Then you use those coins to either buy more coins (copper is 0 coins, silver is 3, and gold is 6 in cost. Copper is worth 1 coin to buy stuff, silver 2, and gold 3), buy kingdom cards, or buy victory cards. You only have one buy turn unless you use kingdom cards to get more turns (I’ll explain later. Or maybe right now). Kingdom cards are used to give yourself perks or hurt other players. For example, the Village card gives you 2 more action turns (the turn where you use your kingdom cards) and you can draw another card from your deck. The Market card lets you draw another card from your deck, gives you another action turn, gives you another buy turn, AND it gives you another copper to spend during that turn, and only that turn (you have to return the copper during the clean up turn). YOoOoOoOu (oops)… YOU (oops again)… You (there!) might be wondering what the clean up turn is now, so I will tell yOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOu (not again!).

The clean up turn is the turn where yooooooooooooooooooooou clean up. Literally. You clean every card that you played and every card that you have in you hand and throw it into your discard pile. Then you pick up five cards from your deck and put them in your hand, but if you don’t have 5 cards in your deck, you shuffle your discard pile and whatever leftover cards that are in your deck and make it all your deck. The fun thing about this game is that you never lose any of your cards unless you trash them or give them to another player. That is about it, really. Thank you for reading! Oh, also, you win if you have the most victory points when the game ends. The game ends when either 3 piles are empty or one of the victory point piles are empty (I forgot which one) Bye!
