Salamanders

I love animals. I am going to start doing more animals for poems. I am going to start with a salamander. A slimy little snake with feet. This is a very cute animal despite the description. Now here is a poem.

Slippery lizards.

500 kinds

Can be 3 inches

Or 5 feet

Look scary

Actually kind of fun.

These are one of my favorite animals

Reptiles

Aquatic

Lizard lovers

Here is your swimming pal.

What do you think my next animal should be?

Apples

I got a request from a certain teacher to make this poem. This time it is going to make a poem about apples. Yes, apples.  I needed to think about the properties of apples. They are a generic type of fruit. So this is what inspired me to make this poem. So here it is.

The apple

Crispy and soft

Lovely taste

Many of the same category

Millions are grown

Looks like they have no individuality

Look past that

Look at the 7,500

Different kinds of apples

Though they are all different types

They all are apples.

Crispy and soft

If the big macintosh is Ms. Haseltine’s apple what is your apple?

Watermelon

I love eating watermelons. They are so juicy. They have the most unique colors inside of it. Sadly it is not watermelon season anymore. This is why I am making this post. So here is my watermelon poem.

A lovely fruit

A crude green shell

Protecting a lovely

Vibrant

Fruit hiding inside

Look behind the green and look to the

Red love

You can only reach it

Look through it.

What is your favorite fruit?

Seize Your Moment

In the movie COCO. Ernesto De La Cruz had a quote. “Seize your moment.” Even though he was portrayed as the antagonist. This is true, if you can not come in any harm, always take an opportunity if you have it. Here is a poem about how I failed to seized my moment.

SGA

Student Government Assembly

I wanted to run.

I decided for president.

I was too scared

I went for treasurer

I failed the election horribly.

When Did You Fail to Seize Your Moment?
