When I started listening to Dark Life, I was able to feel the worried feelings of the main characters. It was a roller coaster of emotions for not just the characters, but for me too. Ty, Gemma, Zoe, Hewitt, and Jibby were always worried about the outlaws. Then, they found about the mysterious creatures that lived on the ocean floor. Those odd creatures threatened to destroy everything. Ty was the most frightened character because that meant the only home he had ever known and his way of life would be gone. The characters were so frightened!! At the end of the book, Gemma and Ty loved each other and they were happy that their problems were solved.

 

       Next, When You Reach Me was even more emotional. This book was full of mystery and adventure. I really liked this book because it was from Miranda’s point of view. Miranda was sad when she lost her friend Sal. She wondered why Marcus punched Sal in the stomach and the face. She didn’t understand the future and past. She didn’t know who was sending her notes. Whoever was sending her the notes, could predict the future. In the end of the book, everything falls in place. She knows who is sending her the notes, she understands the future and past, and she knows why Marcus punched Sal.

 

       To end with, you should try listening to books. Why? So that you can feel the emotions of the characters and experience a whole new world of reading. It’s really amazing how authors can make you feel like a character in a book! It makes you want to listen or read the book more. A book that you should listen to is Echo! It’s by Pam Munoz Ryan.
