Girls Soccer Advances in the Regional Tournament

After winning on Monday, May 20, to Rock Ridge in the district quarterfinals, the Freedom girls soccer team advanced to the district semifinals. They lost the semifinals against Briar Woods High School with a score of 3-1.

With the win against Rock Ridge, they earned a spot in the regional tournament. They played their regional quarterfinal game on May 28, winning 2-1 against Falls Church High School. The goals were scored by Emily Taylor and Giulia Maddiex. This allows them to move on and verse Briar Woods for the second time during the regional semifinals. They lost 0-1 in this game which ended their season. They ended their season with the record 8-10-2.
