100WC 5/28

Hey, everyone! This is my 100 Word Challenge for this week, and the last required one of the year. I’m not sure if I’ll continue after this, I haven’t thought about it yet, but until then, here’s a story about the picture to the left. It was inspired by a video I watched once, about the Flannan Isles lighthouse keepers. It’s a really interesting case, search it up on Youtube if you’re interested in reading more about it. Anyways, thank you for all the support on my posts, and have a good day! – Grace 🙂

The lighthouse stood tall against the bright blue sky, waves crashing against the cliffs below. There was no sign of a struggle. The man continued into the building, checking for clues as he went. The log had last been updated four days ago. There was a cold mug of tea on the kitchen table, dust collecting on the rim. As far as he could tell, nothing was out of place. There was no indication of where the lighthouse keeper had gone.

Hello Grace, well I certainly hope you continue sharing your writing. It is a joy to read and I’m sure it inspires many. This story is also great. I really like how you provided snippets of evidence to create mystery (the cold tea and dust on rim was just great). Use of adjectives was fabulous. If you don’t keep posting in the 100WC, best of luck for your writing journey.
