This is a piece I did for my English class. I based the illustration on the storyline of the book I’m reading, The Nightingale. The girl in the painting is one of the main character and I focused on her characteristics. She’s more brave, reckless, and fearless than most people during a time of war. She has a codename of Nightingale, that’s why I incorporated the birds in the background and I did a more chaotic wave to show emotions similarly, as a storm.
