ℝ𝕖𝕗𝕝𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 ( 𝔸ℙ 𝔸𝕣𝕥 )

I wanted to create a dynamic piece, while adding an imitation of The Great Wave. I also aimed for a vibrant piece, as well as incorporating history and culture of Japan. Although it isn’t finished I will definitely go over it and define some lines. It’s a lot looser than my usual style, but I wanted to try something new. I struggled with the horse because I don’t really draw animals and when I do, the usually turn into something else. I learned that watercolor takes patience, knowing when to add more color or more water, if the paper is wet or a little, it all gives an impact by how it dries and that I can always add more color for defining things. I think I’d rework on this piece, I can see a different way of expressing my idea, I’ll work on my composition to make it more interesting.
