What Happened to the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370?

On the eighth of March, 2014, the Malaysia Flight 370 took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, only to disappear forever. The last communication between the Malaysia Airlines flight and air traffic control (ATC) was around 38 minutes after takeoff when the flight was over the South China Sea. The flight disappeared from ATC radar screens minutes later, but was able to be tracked by military radars for another hour. The military radar shows that is deviated westwards from its planned flight path, crossing the Malay Peninsula and the Andaman Sea, until leaving the radar range 200 nautical miles (370 km) northwest of Penang Island in northwestern Malaysia. It was considered the deadliest incident involving a Boeing 777 and deadliest in Malaysia Airlines’ history, until the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, that was shot down over eastern Ukraine by pro-Russian rebels only four months after the 370 flight.

Malaysia’s former Prime Minister claims that it had landed in the southern Indian Ocean. Several debris helped confirm that the airplane washed ashore in the western Indian Ocean during 2015 and 2016. Both the Joint Agency Coordination Centre (2017) and Ocean Infinity (2018) have tried to find the remains of the 370 flight, only to go home empty handed. This is incredibly weird, because how can an airplane just go missing like that? So far the possible logical theories include that the passengers, crew, or cargo had something to do with the plane’s disappearance; somehow affecting the plane enough to create chaos. More conspiracy theories include alien abduction, hacking, fire, connections to the Malaysia flight 17 and QZ8501, vertical entry into the sea, or a possible shoot-down hypothesis.
