Hamster

If you know rodents well, you would know that hamsters are nocturnal. Nocturnal means that you gain all your energy and sleep during the day and function being awake during the night time. It’s opposite for humans, so if you like a healthy sleep then i wouldn’t suggest keeping your pet hamster in your room with a wheel all night! These small rodents love treats, they can keep them stored in pouches located in their cheeks, they will spit them back up to eat later. Fruits and veggies are about 10% of a hamsters diet. There are 25 different species, but pet stores are known to only sell 5. These include, the Syrian, Dwarf Campbells Russian, Dwarf Winter White Russian, Chinese Dwarf, and Roborovski Dwarf. The average litter is about 8-15 babies. Make sure your pet hamster’s diet is good, supply a proper amount of food because they don’t overeat so you don’t have to worry about feeding them too much. An interesting fact is that hamsters are colorblind! When you are feeling under the weather, be cautious not to spend too much time around your hamster because they can catch illnesses from humans.
