Since my last post, I decided to start over with my concentration for the year. My idea is to focus on how humans have affected wildlife and try to show both sides of the situation- what humans see vs. what is actually happening. For this project, I decided to show how marine life is negatively affected by drawing a whale and slowly making half of it turn into trash. Half of the whale will be above water, while the part that is trash will be underwater to show the difference from what people see vs what they choose not to see/ accept. I decided to practice painting water since it is something I have never worked with it and I am impressed with the progress on my second attempt (the lower one) compared to my first attempt. I also tried painting whales to try to understand the shading and figure out what colors I would have to use in order to make it realistic.
