Liverpool vs Tottenham, and recent transfer news.

Liverpool was put on top early by Mohamed Salah’s 3′ goal. Tottenham definitely went more on the offensive from there putting more shots on goal and keeping 66% possession of the ball. It wasn’t until late when finally there was an equalizer from Tottenham scored by Wanyama which could easily be up there for Premier League goal of the year as it went straight into the top left corner. Then came another goal from the man that’s on fire, Mohamed Salah, and a very decisive but arguable penalty call came in the closing minutes. Harry Kane stepped up once again after missing a penalty earlier in the half but was able to put this one away.

In other news, Michy Batshuayi went from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund on loan which seems to be opening up room for a Chelsea target Olivier Giroud. Batshuayi in his Dortmund debut netted two goals and shows new and young hope in himself. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Arsenal which looks to be a good fit at his new club. Any thoughts on the Liverpool vs Tottenham game or these players at new clubs?

Manchester United acquiring Alexis Sanchez?

Image result for alexis Sanchez hd

In this new transfer window Manchester United have seemed to stumble upon a world class player. I say stumbled upon because a little ways back it looked like Alexis Sanchez was headed to Manchester City or maybe even Bayern Munich. Ever since the rumors of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United arose, he seemed to edge closer and closer to the club. Many sources say he has agreed to all personal terms and his contract is ready, with the only issue being Henrikh Mkhitaryan isn’t too keen on joining Arsenal with the deal being a swap. I believe the move would be great for Manchester United because in one game I was watching, Man U seemed to lean on their left side of attack but all that was being produced from that side were poor crosses swung into the box. With Alexis Sanchez playing on the left side, as he normally does, he may be able to be a greater threat with the ability to cut to the inside and put a powerful shot on goal.

This past Sunday 12/10, Manchester City made a short travel to Old Trafford and faced their biggest rival Manchester United. Anticipated to be one of the best Premier League games of the year, being the first and not very close second places going head to head, every fan must have been eager to watch this. Sadly for United they were without their popular rising star Paul Pogba which very much showed. This was a fairly back and forth match with neither team, in my opinion, living up to their name. Manchester City definitely had the upper-hand at halftime even with the score being 1-1, and ultimately went on to win 1-2. City didn’t have a very convincing win, and wash away the set pieces and the defensive errors that came from them and United could have come away with a draw or a much needed win.
