Recently, a NASA spacecraft over 4 billion miles away took pictures of an asteroid. That’s over a billion miles from Pluto. That spacecraft is New Horizons and it took a picture of Ultima Thule.

Ultima Thule is an asteroid in deep space and we don’t even know what it is made of. We are currently awaiting the results, but in the meantime pictures were sent back by New Horizons showing what seems to be a snowman shape. Pretty neat for an iced asteroid.
