My idea for my next piece is poké. Poké is a traditional Hawaiian food. Here is the first sketchbook page for this piece:

I wanted to do poké because it is a very colorful and textured food that I thought would be perfect to paint/draw because that makes it interesting to look at. My idea for the composition is a close-up of a bowl of the food from a birds-eye view. I don’t want a head-on of the whole entire bowl, so maybe half of it or a quarter. I am most likely going to use acrylic and keep the shapes loose!
