My idea for this next piece was American food. I wanted to incorporate the typical burgers, fries, and soda that people think of into the piece. My first idea was a POV of someone sitting and eating these foods in a diner with someone else sitting in front of them, also eating. However, I was not able to accomplish this composition well, so I have decided to start over with a new composition.

Shown above is the piece before I went over it with gesso. The proportions were way off and the foods looked like they were all on the same plane, which they should not be in. For the new composition, I want to go very close-up to the foods on the table and kind-of have them overlap or just be very close together. I think that this composition will be easier for me to achieve well and eliminate all the excess space that there is on this “rough draft” piece. I will make sure to post an update as to how the revised piece looks like.
