Prequal to where the wild things are

Picture above is my work for my Communication Studies class! Bascially, for this project, we all were suppose to make a Prequal or Sequal (or another version) of a childhood book. The picture being shown is my version of Where The Wild Things are.

I choose to do this book to use for my project because to be honest I love it. I grew up listening to my dad tell me the story, and my teachers. I think it just reminded me that even if I were to run away from home, I would still be loved by my parents even when they yell at me or call me stuff.

Ok so my procces on the book, I first started out in my notebook. I thought about how Max is called a wild thing in the original book. I wanted to include that, so I decided to. I actually went along with my original plan, which was to write the script, then to get blank paper to draw and write the pages and words. From there I stabled it and I finished! My sequal’s moral of the story basically is about bullying. With Max always being called something instead of being treated normal even if he doesnt match the “normal” standards of a child, it still hurts and effects a child as he grows. The moral also talks about if you see someone being treated like this, maybe you should try to talk to them, sometimes they are just lonley and dont know how to act. Towards the end its hard to notice but Max and another characters shadows look more human then the beggining.

My article for comunications studies.

In the past few weeks, in my communications class, we started Articles! We were assigned to make articles about the things around our school, and I choose our Activities and After school clubs!

I chose this topic because currently many people are trying to find out more information about what our school offers for clubs, and I feel like it is important information espicially if you want to join a club!

My proccess with making this article was difficult, with trying to interview people, trying to egt information, and running around the school to ask teachers what clubs are all about, and yet, I was succsesfully able to get my information that I wanted that many student didn’t know about. My Article talks about the many clubs there are and the opinions on them. It has the places where the clubs take part at, and the teachers. Hopefully, this informs students more on what they want to participate in this year!

My poetry unit

Hello! This unit in my class have made some poems with specific ideas, please check them out here.

This unit, ive learned alot about my figuritve language besides the basic’s you’d learn in 6th grade. I also learned alot about myself and my taste in poems. Some skills I practiced during this unit would definetly be being able to extend my poems, and how to give words with no meaning into a metaphor. My peice of advice would defintley be to find the most random object you can find, ex; traffic cone, a sticker, a jacket, and just really connect the item to a deeper meaning in your life.
