My concentration is based around mental illness and trying to give people a visual on what types of feeling there are and what goes on in the mind. I have been using mixed media in most of my pieces because it gives this chaotic and busy aura in all my pieces; I think including mixed media can help people understand different mental illnesses. I tried to steer away from cliches that would be obvious to people looking at my art. I tried to be a bit more quiet about what illness or disorder I am doing so the viewer could give the piece their own image. I want to be able to connect with my audience, in hopes that they find comfort and understanding.
