All About Mrs. Fields

Hi Everyone.

I’m Mrs. Fields, and I would love to tell you a little about myself. Here are my top FIVE “all about me” facts…

(1) I am a proud mom to five beautiful humans.

(2) I’m a foodie! I love all things food-related. I love cooking and baking, and I’m always looking for some new recipe or technique that I haven’t tried. I like to learn about foods from other cultures and explore the types of foods that people eat and prepare both in everyday life and for special occasions. I love trying out new and interesting restaurants or browsing through farmers markets anytime I am traveling. Recently, I have begun exploring the world of sourdough bread baking and Kombucha home brewing, and I think they are both equally fascinating.

(3) I am crafty, and I love any type of artistic expression. I like to work with my hands, and I have an interest in just about anything art-related. Quilting, knitting, hand embroidery, and soap making are a few of my favorite craft projects, but I like to explore and experiment with a lot of different mediums. There is nothing more satisfying than grabbing a cup of coffee, cranking up some great music, and sitting down to create something out of an idea that you imagined.

(4) I’m inspired by nature. I am a naturalist in the truest sense and love to learn more about plants, insects, animals, birds, rocks, and trees. I like to be outside and explore new areas and observe the natural balance of the physical world. I am inspired by nature’s color palette and recharged by the quiet solitude of an outdoor walk.

(5) I love to travel and visit new places. Traveling to new places is a great education. It is an awesome way to experience new customs, cultures, people, places, languages, and foods. By being exposed to new places, you develop a wider world view and I think that makes me a more rounded, global citizen. I currently have a very long list of new places to visit for future travel adventures.

I’m glad you stopped by our classroom blog to read a little about me. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime via email at amy.fields@lcps.org.

Cheers,

Mrs. Fields
