When students first enroll , we ask them how they learn . Some kids will know exactly what we mean by this , and respond as if they’ve been planning for this . Other kids with just look at us with confusion . We cater to each student’s learning style , so we can teach them the best we can . You can learn more about what we mean by this on our page , Learning Styles [ x ] .
At the beginning of each school year , students take a cumulative ‘ test ‘ for the classes they signed up for . Different classes can take on different forms , based on the student’s learning type . For an English class , it may be a reading comprehension test , reading aloud / acting out a given part , or writing a response to a question . Each ‘ test ‘ introduces only a portion of what the student will be learning to do during the school year . If the student does well on a specific subjects’ pre-test , they will be given the choice to take the post-test , and doing well results in passing the class ahead of schedule . They can then choose to take a different class in it’s place , or have a free block . Students are required to take at least three classes per trimester .
