One sunny morning, Anna and her brother Luke were given a contest. Whoever canoed across the river, and picked the most mushrooms, would win a prize. They were both determined to win. Anna’s dad blew a whistle and they raced down the river bank. Anna hopped in her canoe, snached the oar, and paddled as fast as her arms could go. She felt like she ruled the river. She launched herself out of the canoe and sprinted into the forest. As she picked mushrooms, she wistfully pictured her wrinkled grandma, who passed away last year. Her Grandma smiled and said “Go get ‘em.”
Congratulations on your response to this week’s challenge Maya. It is not easy to create a coherent text using random words. I can see the effort you put into using sentences of varied length and structure- it makes your text interesting to read. Accurate punctuation makes your text easy to read. I wonder if you have a sibling with whom you compete, and a grandmother who has passed? These details make your text seem personal. This is a high quality text. I am nominating you for the Special Showcase. 😊🌻
Thank you so much!
