The Movie “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” is a Netflix original romantic comedy. This movie is based on the book written by Jenny Han. In this movie, the main character is Lara Jean. She writes letters “every time I get a crush so hard I do not know what to do anymore.” These letters are written as if she is writing them to that person with their address. She would reread them to remind herself how powerful her emotions are. Lara Jean ends up having a “fake relationship” with Peter Kavinsky. It ends up going in a very unexpected direction but in a good way. The way both Peter Kavinsky and Lara Jean’s feelings change throughout it is breathtaking.
Throughout the movie you laugh, smile, and sometimes even envy the couple (in a good way). Their humor will make you laugh ‘til you cry.
My top three scenes:
1. My absolute favorite scene is when Peter Kavinsky grabs her by the waist and spins her into a hug in the middle of the cafeteria.
2. When Peter Kavinsky drives all an hour away just to buy Lara Jean’s favorite Korean yogurt smoothie, while watching that it makes you so overwhelmed with happiness.
3. Another scene you watch Lara Jean make her ex-best friend furious by being with Peter. Before Peter and Lara were dating, Lara’s ex best friend was dating Peter, but because of an incident caused by Lara they broke up and later Lara and Peter got together.
Watch as Lara Jean learns many different lessons in her journey. I rate this movie a 4/5 because of the awkwardness between her and her sister, that tension did not make those scenes entertaining.
