On January 20th, my team had won the Eastern Sectional Championships title. We competed against all of the other teams in our division on the East Coast. The top 5 placing teams will get a chance to compete for the last time at the 2018 Synchronized Skating National Championships in Portland, Oregon. This competition will take place from February 20th to the 25th. My team, DC Edge Junior, came in first place in both the long program, scoring a 48.03 in the short program, placing us ahead of the 7-time east coast champions, Team Delaware, who scored a 40.35. For the final combined score, DC Edge Junior scored a 122.23, while Team Delaware scored a 114.92. Team Delaware did lose their steak of their East Coast Championship title, and will come at us at nationals, but will hopefully remain in the sport right below us.
