For this sketchbook, I was focusing on mechanical body parts, such as bionic leg, arm, hand, etc. Even though in my sleep took it show s that the person is animated, I’ll keep in mind to stray away from that and make it more realistic. I’m still working on how I want the composition to be like. I’m also not really sure with where I’m going with testing different patterns, but I’ll practice more with it.
Do you know whether you want to go in a realistic or stylized direction with this project?
I know you said you want to stray away from having such an animated person but I think it fits your style and your idea for this piece. I think it would be really cool if you had a sci-fi city/ utopia behind your person to kind of tell a story through your piece.
Also the pen outlines around the loose shapes of color looks really interesting I think it would be cool if you could find a way to push that in your final piece as well! -liz
The detail (especially on that cyborg hand) is great! The colour and use of black are really bold and I think they’d look great in a final piece. Are you going to use a thinner pen for more detail?
I really like this Idea! It looks like it belongs in a comic. I’m curious to learn more about your inspiration.
