She had one rule
And one rule only.
She broke it.
“Stay away from the mushroom.”
They said.
She didn’t listen.
The glass covering it only made her more intrigued.
The mushroom wrinkled to her touch.
As a result, the sirens went off,
Making her jump.
Why was the mushroom so important?
She thought.
“I’m sorry Karmen.”
Her mother said.
A wistful smile on her face,
And one hand holding an oar,
Ready to launch at her.
“Please don’t do this!”
Karmen yelled.
Her screams filled the hallways,
But soon left in silence.
Her mother’s mouth,
Wide open in shock.
Olaa-
I’m so glad that you read your mushroom tale of woe in class today. That was very inventive and fun to listen to you read. 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you write for next week’s challenge!
