The geography of the Central plains and the Great plains are different. The Central plains is not much higher than sea level where else the Great plains is 3,000 feet above sea level.        This is a  picture of the Central plains. This is a picture of the great Plains.The Mid-west region also has rivers and lakes. 4 of the Great lakes are located is the Mid-west. They are Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, and Lake Superior. Lake Ontario is also a part of this, but it is in Canada. You can remember this by the word HOMES.  (Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, and Lake Superior. You can also recognize it on the map by thinking of a dog.   This is a picture of the Great Lakes. The Mid-West has mostly low flat lands. The Mid-West seems to stretch across out far as much as your eye can see.
