Yellow stone National Park is in the Rocky Mountains. Yellowstone National Park is one of the oldest states. The Yellowstone National Park is 3,468 square miles which includes parts of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. It has fossil forests and over 10,000 hot springs. Some of the hot springs are geysers. A geyser is a kind of hot spring that releases steam and water.  Another famous place is the Grand Tenon National Park. It covers 484 square miles  is northwest Wyoming. Its highest peak is 13,766 feet above sea level.
